Nokia’s business plan or WHAT THEY SHOULD BE DOING and Samsung as well…..

Nokia it would appear has shot themselves in the foot and other foot and all the way to the head, don’t forget the wallet.
They announced that they are moving to Windows for there phone OS with no plan on timing, not soon, and plenty of stock in old phone. It seems as though the

A smart way forward It seems as though every one is giving Nokia advice. So i will, though my thoughts are not so pessimistic because they could do something a bit different and do it well, sadly either their communication office needs someone or they need better leadership. This is not to difficult to understand, really.
It would seem that Nokia is making business desission in which they could do very well or not, but it will be very, very difficult to succeed. I suspect that there is two avenues by which they could maintain the lead, or regain it.
The word is diversity. It appears that every hardware manufactuer is being pushed into one platform or another, though I did see a Samsung windows phone. Nokia should take a different road. They could develop phones that are not platform dependent. Ie. OS independent. Because almost all the high end hardware is universally the same rather build separate os modules and and when they purchase either their own, Android, or windows sell the separate module. This would enable people to have one phone and multi platforms, granted most would not but it would simplify the supply chain and allow something else that would really be a draw that Apple could not compete with.
They could have a store that sold software that covered all the platforms accept of course Apple. This way people could pay a crossgrade price for their software rather than the full price. 20 – 30% percent would guarantee the majority of people, because most people want to buy it once and not keep on shelling out. Thats what Apple is counting on and they are right, of course simplicity is key as well, and in some ways it is, in others its darn right pain.
Amazon will likely compete trying the same idea, but being the hardware manufacturer you could add in extra bonuses to keeping with one store. This will keep them coming back to buy the hardware as well, a key feature.
